Gerald needs to purchase baseballs and bats for his youth baseball league. He'll need at least 25 pieces of equipment, but he only has $615 to spend. Baseballs cost $20 each and bats cost $35 each. If Gerald wants to purchase the largest amount of equipment and still stay within his budget which combination of baseballs and bats is optimal?

    The answer is D: 29,1

    That is because with options A and C he still has money to spend. Options B and D both have him spending exactly $615, but in B he only gets 27 pieces of equipment whereas in option D he gets 30 pieces of equipment.
