In the United States, a neurosurgeon's income may be ten times that of a schoolteacher. In a country with a command economy, the difference might be less than two times. How can you explain the fact that individuals doing the same work in different countries do not earn comparable salaries

    Economic factors such as the type of economic system as well as the level of economic development. In an economic system such as command economy whereby salaries are set by the government, with the chief aim of eliminating economic equality, the salaries can be different. in addition, in a developing economy, the salary may not comparable with those of the developed economy, a factor which contribute to brain drain.
