4. Have you ever encountered people who look down on people with mental illness, or think that the stigma is justified? What do you think might change their perceptions? If you have never encountered such people, why do you think that is? Do you think it is because you know many people who are educated about mental illness?

    Unfortunately there is still a stigma surrounding mental illnesses. Many people are unable to to accept what they cannot see or understand. A broken bone can be healed and a cold can be treated, but mental health is long and complicated to understand which is why many choose to ignore it. However being educated on the topic allows more people to bring awareness to the issue and decrease the stigma that revolves around it.
