    The Sumerian religion was majorly practices by the people of Sumer. The sumers were the first literate civilization of Mesopotamia. They had a strong belief that the universe that had been formed is due to a series of cosmic births. Their deities included Enlil, Utu, Enki etc.

    Whereas the Mayans believed in several aspects of rituals, astronomy and nature. They were known for their religious calendars. Their deities mainly were nature Gods like the Sun, Moon, Corn/Maize, Rains, etc.
