    Disposal of these tail pilings in places where it could erode into surface drainages and contaminate water sources.

    Tail pilings are made up of metal remnants which are formed as a result of mining activities involving separation of metals from its ore. They can be reduced by recycling and also by clearing them immediately or at a set intervals after the mining process.
