Why was tea important to China's economy and its relationship with other countries?

    Tea has been drunk in China for thousands of years and is an integral part of their culture. As such, tea was always exported and it was made in the highest quality. Because of that, every country in the world wanted to trade with them and get some of that tea because their high quality tea was prestigious, besides being really tasty.
