What is recognized as the equivalent of undergraduate college courses?

    AP, or Advanced Placement, courses in high school are designed to be equivalent to introductory college courses. They are taken largely in high school and have a nation wide curriculum that is followed. An AP exam in the subject is given in May. Obtaining a score of 3 or higher (scale of 1-5) could mean college Credit Hours in most universities.
