    I know that state of matter means a liquid, a solid, and a gas. An example of a mixture that contains more than one state of matter is chocolate chip cookies: they contain milk and flour. Another example would be a smoothie with cool whip: they contain a liquid and a solid. Cherry pie contains a liquid and a solid.
