What does veristic portrait style refer to in Roman art

    Verism was described as "warts and all" it pretty much shows the imperfections of the person. For example it'll have, warts, wrinkles, and furrows. Although It should be noted that the word veristic is in no way implying that the art works are more "real." It can also be over exaggerated.
