In the middle ages, the catholic church predominated in almost every aspect of life, and the catholic mass was an integral part of church activities. did the catholic church, particularly the mass, have any impact on music? how?

    It did affect music. Church music was the highest form of music and people who wrote music for church were the highest of artists and they usually sang about religious things. Secular music was different and included things like dancing or witty lyrics and sometimes the church even tried to ban it because it was considered to be blasphemous.
