E/m value of canal Rays is dependent on nature of gas. Explain.

    When high voltage is passed through the gas filled in glass tube, say Hydrogen gas, Cathode rays originated from cathode constituting negatively charged electrons collide with Hydrogen atoms and take away electrons ... This is how natue of canal rays depend upon nature of gas.
