How did the Catholic Church respond to the Counter-Reformation?

    A first the people were accepting of what was happening because it wasn't hurting anyone but when the Catholic Curch caught wind of it, they were furious. They were afraid of change and if their power over the people would be lost.

    So, they responded by creating their own reformation to counter the Counter-Reformation with the Catholic Counter-Reformation.
