Western and non-Western art are different in terms of ways of doing things and ways of communicating used, culture, beauty-related thinking, religion and (way of thinking/related to learning about how people think). Non-Western art refers to art that is not came/coming from (related to Europe) or North American art history and thinking. This includes art from Africa, the Middle East, South America, East and Southeast Asia, and so on. The differences between Western and non-Western art are many, but there are basic differences that should be understood.
