How do you train your ears to know which letter note is played in music?

    You can get used to the notes just by being exposed to the notes itself. Whilst listening to the song, observe the music and for extra ear training, have a friend play or hum a random note for you to guess. I used to be pitch deaf, not being able to sing any pitch perfectly at 5. Now, I am pitch perfect after around 7 years of training.

    Step 1: Label white spaces with FACE and EGBDF for the treble clef.

    Step 2: Write the note letter names.

    Step 3: Memorize letter names, and move onto bass clef.

    Step 4: Name your spaces ACEGB and GBDFA.

    Step 5: Find a hand diagram and label each finger 1-5.
