Although the Renaissance changed aspects of society and culture throughout Europe, we focused on the artwork of Northern Europe and Italy.     Throughout the Renaissance, artists moved from depicting religious motifs to depicting humans in all their glory. You can see this in paintings and sculptures by people like Da Vinci and Michelangelo. Humans were put up front instead of the Church. Nothern Europe, however, was much more conservative than Italy, but they also started going towards liberation of people.
