The process of forming a specific consequence from general observations is known as Deductive logic. Deductive reasoning is a logical process in which a conclusion is based on the concordance of multiple premises that are generally assumed to be true. Inductive reasoning on the other hand is the opposite of deductive reasoning which makes broad generalizations from specific observations.
