The phototropic response to sunlight is a mechanism that evolved over millions of years. what advantage to the plant is there from this response to sunlight?

    The phototropic response in plants is a positive tropism that gives the plant survival capabilities. The plant is able to bend and direct its growth towards the place with maximum sunlight in case it is shaded. Sunlight is important in pants for photosynthesis.
