At 37 degree centigrade, phosphorus quantity is decreased while there is accumulation of phosphorus at 27 degree centigrade in cell membrane of E. coli. There is a change in glycerol to phosphate molar ratios which indicates that phosphatidyl glycerol phosphate replaced phosphatidyl glycerol during the late growth stages of E. coli when grown at 27degree centigrade.
