A new species is introduced into an ecosystem. It is highly successful, and rapidly consumes much of the area's plant mass. How will this affect the other plant-eating species in the area? Select one: The invasive species will eventually go extinct, since it is not their native habitat. The other species will hybridize with the invasive species, creating a new species. The other species will maintain their population size. The other species will decline in population size or migrate away.
