Fever indicates that your body is fighting for an infection. Bacteria got in to your body through the cut from a splinter then it multiplies. The body’s immune system send white blood cells into the area to fight off infection and these white blood cells cause the area of infection to become painful, swollen and red in color. The most common bacteria that causes this is the staphylococcus aureus that is a natural flora in our body.
