Why are pedigrees useful for tracking the inheritance of diseases and other traits?

    Pedigree by definition is a historical or genetic record of a family line.

    Given its genetic background, a pedigree can simply be used to trace back the inheritance of any genetic disorders and identify the source of the any specific trait.
