    Out of the following given choices;

    A) They generally occur in a zone of southwest winds.

    B) They have an intense pressure gradient force.

    C) Tornadoes often occur to the east of the center of a midlatitude cyclone.

    D) Because of their clockwise rotation.

    The answer is A. These winds are due to the occurrence of low-pressure systems in the region. These low-pressure systems move from southwest to northeast, or west to east. Therefore, the tornados that are as a result of these pressure system, move in the direction of the pressure systems that cause them.
