Explain what Darwin Thought about different animals with similar characteristics living in similar habitats around the world?

He thought that their environment affected their evolution and survival. He saw that the environment that a creature lived in might have been what affected their characteristics and that is why they were similar. In order to reproduce and survive these animals had to adapt to their environment.
