Which two positions show the location of the moon in its gibbous phases as seen from Earth?

The diagram below shows eight different positions of the moon around Earth.

A circle labeled Earth has a bigger circle labeled Sun on its right. There are eight small circles around Earth. These circles are all equidistant from each other and numbered from 1 to 8 in the clockwise order, with 1 directly above, 5 directly below, 3 on the right, and 7 on the left of Earth. Circles 2, 4, 6, and 8 are at angles in between the others.
