Joe is conducting an experiment to determine which liquid will cause bean plants grow faster. hr waterd the plants with equal amounts if liquid and measured thir hieght every other day. the plants are in the same pots with different soils and placed in the same location. will joe be able to obtain reliable data to write a supported conclusion?

A. Yes, because he is only observing the height of the plant.

B. Yes, because he consistent with watering the plants.

C. No, because he used different soils.

D. No, because he use only one type of plant.

    Joe will not be able to obtain reliable data because he is also using different soils.

    In order to be sure that his findings are correct, he must use only one variable (in this case the liquid). In order to be sure that the liquid is responsible for the changes in plant height he should have all the plants in identical conditions and only vary the type of liquid he is using to water them.
