In algae and plants, photosynthesis happens where?

    Photosynthesis occurs in the chloroplast of a plant. Chlorophyll is a green substance inside the chloroplast that captures light. Without chlorophyll, plants wouldn't be green, nor would they undergo photosynthesis.
