A hospitalized 10-year-old child is apathetic about eating. what is the best nursing intervention to support the child's nutrition?

    I would if I were the nurse try to get the 10 year old to first eat something they obviously liked like, say ice cream but saying that only if they agree to eat such and such ie to eat a little bit of say vegetables or meat or soup or sandwich if they get the treat which could also be something like crackers and cheese or nice cookies for example. Also, it should be explained how such and such food is essential to provide nutrients to the body for energy to play etc.
