As the seasons change, dogs begin to change behaviors. If it is too hot outside during the summer, a dog may begin to lay down and begin to cool off and rest. Whereas, during the winter the dog may refuse to go outside because it's too cold. When the temperature during a season isn't too hot or cold, the dog will be more willing to play. Where as during the summer and winter, the extreme temperatures make the dogs less willing to play.
