A trillium is a plant that grows on the forest floor. During a study, a scientist observed that a trillium blooms much earlier during the year than leaves appear on the tall trees in the forest. Evaluate the observation given the limiting factors in the forest.

    I would assume the abundance of sunlight available on the forest floor before the leaves appear on trees would allow the trillium to thrive. Trillium must require plenty of sunlight in order to bloom.
