How do human activities influence the water cycle?

Human activities like irrigation, mining, urbanization, and deforestation put a lot of pressure on the water cycle. For one thing, with urbanization, water can catch pollutants, and the rain could fall back as acid rain, killing off animal life. Second, with irrigation and using water for agriculture, we are using up a lot of water, which can disrupt the water cycle in a negative way. Using up a lot of water can affect the water system and alter many things like the environment or water supply. So many things that we do as humans are going to affect the water system.
