How are models used to predict phenomena?

Scientists try to explain aspects of the real world by comparing them with models that are based on familiar mechanisms. Scientific models must be testable and they are accepted by scientists only after they have been tested in the real world.

And Phenomena - is a fact or situation that is observed to exist or happen, especially one whose cause or explanation is in question.

So in conclusion telling us that models are used to see what experiment were trying to seek and phenomena is used with them mainly because once we prove our experiment it has an important role with it towards the end after a scientist hypothesis/tests.

Models can be used how? Well, when someone has phenomena, it is due to a build-up of mucus in a persons lungs. Models can be used to predict this because it can show under what circumstances humans develop this illness.
