Which has more entropy: popcorn kernels or the resulting popcorn?

    The resulting popcorn, because there is an increase in the entropy. The requirement for a heat input is the give-away. Also note that corn kernels are not identical, but are instead related to one another in structured ways, and that the differences between popped kernels are not ordered or highly structured.
