Sometimes lymph nodes must be surgically removed. Although more lymph vessels eventually grow, what result would you expect to see immediately after surgery?

    The lymphatic system is used for immunologic response and interstitial fluid collection. If the lymph node is removed, the lymphatic system around it would be disrupted. This will cause localized swelling after the surgery. The immune system around it could be impaired too.
