    Thalidomide is an example of a drug that was approved too early, before potential side effects could adequately be explored. It is mainly used to treat cancer and various skin problems and it is also used to treat morning sickness during pregnancy. But it also causes side effects so that this thalidomide drug has been banned by the US country.
