A scientist discovers a new organism and is trying to classify it. Which observations would most likely indicate that the organism is an animal?

    The scientist would determine how the organism obtains and processes energy. This means, is the organism an herbivore and carnivore? Or does it gain energy from the sun and undergo photosynthesis? Also, a scientist might observe the reproduction patterns. For example, animals give birth or lay eggs while plants instead have seeds.
