During transcription, what does messenger RNA do?

    During transcription DNA helicase "unzips" the DNA's double helix so the RNA polymerase enzyme can move along the unzipped DNA and encode the mRNA. After this the mRNA will leave the nucleus and travel to the ribosomes so translation can occur.
