What makes platelet?

    From previous knowledge, I believe platelets are NOT true cells. However, they bite off pieces of larger cells in the bone marrow.

    Platelets are inside blood, along with other substances such as hormones, glucose, dissolved proteins, minerals, salts, red blood cells, and white blood cells.
