The DNA code eventually directs the cell to manufacture protein. The DNA in the nucleus is transcribed to an mRNA (messenger RNA) transcript in which it carries the information of the DNA; and mRNA will go outside the nucleus to get the genetic information translated into a chain of amino acids through ribosomes and tRNA. In this process, the elongating peptide chain will ultimately form a final protein.
