The Tissue that passes information between the two cerebral hemispheres is called Corpus Callosum. It is also called callosal commissure. It is a wide commissure, a flat bundle of commissural fibers about 10cm long beneath the cerebral cortex in the brains of placental mammals. Thus, the Corpus Callosum is the part of the mind that allows between the two hemispheres of the brain to communicate. It is responsible for transmitting neural messages between both the right and left hemispheres. It is located in the above Thalamus under the cortex and the largest white matter structure in the human brain consisting of 200-250 million axonal projections.
