Which colors would be most useful for driving photosynthesis and which would be least useful?

    Photosynthesis is a process when plants use light energy to make sugar. The process begins with the absorption of light by pigments. Light is an energy that travelling in waves. In other words, light is an electromagnetic radiation. Electromagnetic radiation together with other types of radiation makes an electromagnetic spectrum. Human eyes cannot see all of the spectra. What can we see is called visible spectrum. Sun lights appear to be white; in reality, it contains multiple colors of light. When white light passes through a prism we can see colors. Indeed, the different wavelengths of light have different dispersions. Red light has the longest wavelength and the least energy, while violet light has the shortest wavelength and the most energy. Those colors are the most effective in the photosynthesis process because of absorption. G reen is not absorbed but is reflected and that is the reason that most plants have a green color. Due to this, green is the least effective
