Respiration is a process that involves the exchange of oxygen (O2) and carbon dioxide (CO2) in the lungs between the atmosphere and pulmonary circulation. Thus, cellular respiration is a process where glucose is converted into energy in the presence of oxygen while pulmonary respiration occur during inspiration, it is a process whereby oxygen and carbon dioxide enter and leaves alveoli simultaneously.
