Was the bone marrow yellow, red, green or blue?

    Well, there is red bone marrow and yellow bone marrow. Red consists mostly of hemopoietic stem cells which produce red blood cells. Yellow bone marrow is yellow due to the high quantity of fat. As you age, yellow bone marrow becomes more prominent.
