What will happen to the rate of reaction between an enzymatic protein such as reserve gyrase and it's substrate DNA and nucleotides in the presence of an inhibitor?

    An inhibitor reduces the rate of a reaction by binding itself to the enzyme (note that inhibitors have types). So, the rate of the reaction will decrease. These are also known as allosteric inhibitors.
