I believe that Cytoplasm divides unequally in meiosis during production of egg cells. Meiosis is the type of cell division which takes place in the gametes cells where the parent cell divides to produce four haploid daughter cells. This process of dividing cytoplasm is called cytokinesis. During Oogenesis (production of egg cells) in the ovaries of females via meiosis the cytoplasm divides unequally producing only one functional egg and two non functional polar bodies that later degenerates.
