Starting with the proximal tubule, order the structures listed below in terms of when they are encountered by filtrate as it travels out of the body.

    I believe the order of the structures based on when they are encountered by the filtrate as it travels out of the body will be;

    Proximal convoluted tubule; the loop henle (starting with the descending loop and then the ascending loop), the distal convoluted tubule, the collecting duct, minor calyx, major calyx and then the renal pelvis.

    During the first step of making urine; that is the Glomerular filtration; the kidneys filter excess fluid and waste products out of the blood into the urine collecting tubules of the kidney so as to be eliminated from the body. The filtrate follows the route indicated above and then gets out of the body.
