    72 lb 2.2 = 32.7 kg * 8 mg/day = 261.6 mg/day 4 doses = 65.4 mg per dose. Calculate safe hourly dose. 44 lb 2.2 = 20 kg * 3 mEq/24 hours = 60 mEq/24 hours 60 mEq : 24 hours = x mEq : 1 hour

    x = 2.5 mEq per hour.
