How is diabetes a breakdown in cellular respiration?

    During cell respiration, glucose is broken down in order for the body to gain energy through the use of ADP and ATP. With diabetes, the person's cells are unable to break down the glucose properly, and and overabundance of the sugar in the system leads to negative reactions from the rest of the body.
