The taiga is an extremely cold area that has constant food shortage and harsh conditions. The lynx does not migrate from the taiga during any period, but rather stay there year round. The lynx is currently waiting to get a place on the endangered species list. Their habitat is being rapidly destroyed, and many farmers view them as a pest that threatens livestock and other animals that are essential to the farm. Additionally, people hunt the lynx for their fur coats and for their meat.
