Impulsivity relates to drug use and abuse in general population. This is because those in the general population that has a strong impulsivity towards things are most likely to get hooked on drugs. These people impulsively take part in ingesting a type of drug, unknowingly. This can cause them to continue to ingest this drug by impulse until they get addicted. The definition of an impulse is: Impulses are strong motivational urges to engage in reward pursuit or consumption and can lead to impulsive behaviors unless individuals effortfully inhibit or interrupt them ... this plays a role of getting hooked on drugs in our society.
