Adipose tissue is the tissue in which the fat is stored.

Adipose tissue is a connective tissue that contains adipocytes. Adipose tissue is mainly found under the skin and can also be found around internal organs where it provides protective padding. Adipose tissue functions as the major storage site for fat in the form of triglycerides. White adipose tissue and brown adipose tissue are the two different forms of adipose tissue found in mammals.
